The Story

A young, unknown girl from Marshalltown, Iowa, became an instant star in the title role of Otto Preminger's movie Saint Joan. She married into the intellectual and social life of Paris, and conquered even her harshest critics in her fourth film Breathless. She achieved all the trappings of the American dream - success, fame, riches. Then she lent her name and celebrity in support of controversial political issues. The FBI stepped in. And stopped her.

This is a print of the National Theatre 1983 production poster for Jean Seberg. The bookshop has collaborated with the Archive team to bring you an exclusive collection of custom prints taken from original National Theatre artworks.
